Detection of salt water on Mars
According to the expert group University of Copenhagen, Denmark, self-propelled equipment Curiosity found calcium perchlorate salts in the soil in the area of Gale crater. Calcium perchlorate absorb moisture from the atmosphere in the right conditions. Based on data from the control of Curiosity weather, they determine the viability of these conditions at night and after sunrise in winter.

When night falls, part of atmospheric water vapor condenses on the surface as frost, but absorbs water and calcium perchlorate salt formation, so the freezing point is lowered and frost can turn into quality Liquid.
"What's new in this study is that we have measurements of temperature and humidity in a year, and now we have the necessary data to indicate that liquid water can and salty." IB Times yesterday quoted Professor Morten Bo Madsen said. Javier Martin-Torres, who led the research, hoping liquid water can be found in many other areas around the red planet.
Scientists have long known that water existed on the red planet in the form of ice and once found evidence of liquid water on Mars.
